Arthur's Seat

We climbed Arthur's seat in Edinburgh and it was fucking exhausting. Arthur's seat lies in the center of town and supposedly has something to do with King Arthur but I dunno look it up for yourself and stop badgering me with these questions geez.

Althogh the climb is not too high (about 800ft), we decided to attempt this "leisurely walk" in the evening (sunset and whatnot) after having spent the entire day traipsing all over Edinburgh. I was already tired and you know, grumpy. By the time we reached the top I was a bit less grumpy but was far more dehydrated and hungry. And I had to pee. But luckily on our way back we took a wrong turn and got lost for awhile which really helped the situation.

By the way that is NOT Arthur's Seat. That is a much smaller hill that we thought was Arthur's Seat and started to walk up before realizing our mistake. I wish hadn't realized our mistake.

Ok so this slightly talled hill is Arthur's Seat? Oh wait, no its not?

Two smart people here.

An old crumbly Abbey built in the 1400s

About halfway there. I'm weak and sweaty and already have to pee a little. Anthony is strong and wishes there was a fish and chips stand on the way up.

Look, isn't this cute? I'm pointing to yet another place that is not Arthur's Seat.

Cold and full of regrets

Almost there...

Made it to the top I'm so triumphant and tired and full of pee.

Also probably the most flattering picture of me ever taken

Stop dummy! You are going the wrong way!!!

Nope, that's not the right way either. What is wrong with you?!
Is it this way? No.
Not here either.
Lost and sad.

Finally the right path!

Back at the hostel. After peeing for about an hour, iced my knees and bad foot while Anthony cooked all the pasta and I drank all the wine.

here are some videos, you might want to mute them because it was insanely windy up there, like almost was blown off the hill it was so windy.
