And I never want to leave! We are going on our third week here and still love it. We need to be in Athens on December 14th to fly to Hanoi Vietnam. I am getting a liiiiitle nervous for Vietnam. We'll be volunteering with disabled children, something I have zero experience in. It is going to be intense and challenging I'm sure.
But anyway. Yesterday we rented a car and drove to Red Beach on the south side of the island. They call it Red Beach because it is red. Go figure. There is also a White Beach. Guess what color the sand is there. The water at Red Breach was so warm! I couldn't believe it. I wish I had brought my swimsuit because I totally would have jumped in there. Or at least walked in up to my knees. Oceans are scary, guys.
After the beach we drove back up north to Oia to watch the sun set. I was a slightly disappointed. As you will see below, it was a little drab. Next, we bought two pitas and some ouzo. I ended up drinking just a bit too much ouzo so I'm really dragging today. I think my tolerance for alcohol has been seriously diminished. We have been drinking wine pretty regularly but not more than a glass or two at a time so the ouzo was just too much for me. I guess I'll just stick to the vino from now on. Annnyyywaaaay, here are some pictures.

How does anything grow in this rocky ground? |
|
"No waaaaayyyyy!" |
|
The beaches are all rocky. It's painful. |
|
Do you need some Protons? We've got 'em! How about some Electrons? Got those too! |
Aww bummer! I just realized I forgot to take a picture of the best thing in Oai. There is a massage parlor called "The Sea Captains House." Seriously. Why?

Since we've started traveling these have become my two favorite letters. |
|
We are so cool it hurts my eyes. |
