Lost Lake

Anthony and I went to Lost Lake in Mt Hood to test out our new camping gear. We are total novices at this out-doorsy stuff so it was a bit of a learning experience. A few of the lessons we learned:

1. Bring some sort of shelter because it will rain and you will spend the entire weekend with soggy pants.

3. Bring a fucking air mattress. Sleeping on gravel hurts. Who knew?

2. Do not feed the chipmunks. It's really cute watching them nibble on Doritos, but they will wait until you least expect it to swarm your table, tie you up and take off with all your food. Ok they didn't tie us up, but they did eat a lot of our food.


4. Waiting out the rain by making shadow puppets in your tent can only get you so far in terms of entertainment, unless of course you are a child. Bring a book or some cards or SOMETHING.
