Gwen and Meatloaf

I am feeling pretty guilty about posting pictures of some stray cat I cuddled on the street and not even posting pictures of my own two cats. Basically this entire post is going to be about my cats so if you don't like really cute cats and/or crazy cat-loving ladies then stop reading right now and come back tomorrow for some pictures of us lazing about by the pool.

This is Gwen:

I ended up with this beast six (or maybe seven?) years ago when my roommate at the time decided she wanted a cat. I was not really into the idea but she had a friend that needed to unload a 3 years old cat she had just adopted because her other cat didn't get along with her. We went to go check the cat out and decided to adopt her because she was really cute and sweet and shy and needed a good home. But this cat was totally going to be my roommates responsibility because like I said, I didn't really want a cat. We took her home and put her food and littler box in my roommates room. Anyway, to make an already-too-long story shorter, one night Gwen ran into my room and decided her new sleeping spot wold be right on top of me. And she basically wouldn't leave my side and really loved me so I was like whatever, I love you too let's be life-long best friends.

Gwen is really sweet to people she likes which is pretty much just me, Anthony and our friend Matthew. But I guess she's warming up to my mom and dad now that they are taking care of her. Her likes include roast beef, tuna, sitting on paper, sleeping, waking me up in the middle of the night for more food, and looking out the window.

Her dislikes are having her picture taken, toys, most people, and our other cat Meatloaf.

This is our other cat, Meatloaf:

He means well.

We decided Gwen needed a friend so we brought this guy home about a year ago. He started out a really ugly but sweet kitten. Then he turned into a crazy monster thanks to our friend Axe Hammer who cat-sat him for a long weekend. We left him a cute little cuddly baby and came home to a monster of destruction. Thanks a lot, Axe.

Meatloaf's likes include chasing Gwen, chasing flies, digging up house plants, biting feet, biting hands, biting faces, biting everything else, every person he has ever met, and tuna.

His dislikes include not being the center of attention.

Evil.

This is a picture of Gwen doing something she loves (looking out the window) and Meatloaf trying to do something he loves (chase Gwen)

And here is a picture of this one time when Gwen was sleeping, Meatloaf climbed up on the chair to sleep next to her. Then Gwen woke up and realized he was there, hissed and ran away. Then Meatloaf chased her and I had to separate them. Bitter sweet memories.

THE END

  1. I resent that wild accusation. You must have been talking to Eli, she makes wild claims about her cat's behavior after I hang out with it too... I don't appreciate this conspiracy, jerks.

  2. I love that even in your travel blog, you still find a way to come back around to CATS.
